| Name: Linda Tavara Meaning: Linda's last name, "Tavara" literally means "stuff" in Finnish. "Tavara" is also a city in the Black Sea region of Turkey, a small village in Spain, a river in Peru, and one of the Solomon Islands (northeast of Australia). Evolutionary Anomaly Class: Biological Aura Absorption - the ability to absorb the life force of others and the abilities of evolved humans through physical contact, as well as to see the 'auras' of others. Linda can see the 'auras' of any life form: humans, animals, or plants. Linda can see the life force of other lifeforms with her own eyes, describing it as a glowing 'aura' around that being. The stronger the life force, the brighter the aura will be. Evolved human beings have especially bright auras. By grabbing her victim with both hands, Linda can then absorb that aura into herself, an act which is usually fatal to the victim, leaving them a withered husk. If Linda absorbs the aura of a Special, she also absorbs their ability. Linda's absorption is not instantaneous - it takes her anywhere from a few seconds to half a minute to drain her victim, depending on how vigorous they are. The victim is not paralyzed and can fight back, but will become weak and sluggish, and usually is unable to defend themselves. Because her absorption is not instant, Linda's abilities can have varying degrees, depending on how long she had her victim controlled. This ability allows you to determine the exact time an occurrence will take place, when it has taken place, or how long it took or how long it will take. This can be used to determine when an opponent will strike, how much time you have left until an occurrence takes place; even the exact time in any time zone can be determined with this ability. | Linda at her base is a woman of predatory motives, always searching for the next power that will help her in her goals. That being said, her "goals" usually amount to retaining more powers that follow the 'quality not quantity' philosophy. It could be derived that with enough powers in her arsenal, her final goal might be that of the ultimate power (although that ultimate power remains to be defined). However, there was a time when Linda repented her predatory ways and aimed to settle down with a family of her own. Ultimately, the nuclear lifestyle was not for her, and she found it tedious and unrewarding. Eventually she abandoned her family in favor of a lifestyle that was more about taking than giving. |
